JFCS employs a diverse and dedicated staff of over 130 licensed clinical social workers, rabbis, chaplains, specialists, and other professionals. JFCS staff members work together to provide premium services to individuals and families throughout Greater Philadelphia.

Paula Goldstein
, President and CEO of Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia since September 2011  has worked within the Jewish Community for more than twenty-five years.  Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Paula served as in the COO position for JFCS for 3.5 years and held numerous directors positions over her tenure at JFCS. Paula served as JFCS’ Director of Counseling and Care Management for 4 years.   In this capacity, Paula worked closely with the JFCS Development Department to secure supplemental grant funding necessary to continue providing much needed services to clients who access JFCS’ Crisis Line, Special Needs, Domestic Violence, Counseling and Bereavement programs, to name a few. She has implemented new programs such as Synagogue Outreach, Student Internships, Serious Illness Support Network and most recently, Credit Counseling. Prior to this leadership role in Counseling and Care Management, Paula served as Co-Director of JFCS’ Jewish Family Life Education Department (JFLE).  Paula was President of her synagogue, Temple Sinai, in Dresher Pennsylvania from 2002-2004 where she was responsible for the synagogue’s annual campaign and special events, leadership development, hiring and oversight of the professional staff, and the Board. Paula is a graduate of Temple University (1979) and she received her Masters degree from the Columbia School of Social Work (1981).

Basha Silverman

Basha Silverman, has over a decade of experience in non-profit social services. Starting out working in Delaware, as a volunteer, Basha has worked in program development, managment and process improvement in areas such as HIV/AIDS, Substance Abuse and Mental Health. Basha has served on several local, regional, and national boards and coalitions. She is a founder of Delaware's first coalition aimed at designing a gender specific, health focused response to victims of trauma. She holds a Masters in Social Service from Bryn Mawr School of Social Work and Social Research. She is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a B.A. in Sociology. Basha resides in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

Pia Eisenberg
has been working in the Development and Marketing field for over 21 years within the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey Jewish Communities.  Her focus has been in the areas of individual and foundation cultivation, planned giving, annual giving, event planning, outreach, strategic planning, and management.  Pia holds a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Rider University. She currently serves on the Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Agencies’ National Conference Committee, is a past president of the Jewish Communal Professionals Association of the Delaware Valley, and in her free time enjoys being a Certified Spinning Instructor.

John Sawyer
holds the Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager Licenses from the Institute of Management Accountants, as well as the Chartered Financial License from the American College. John has been the Chief Financial Officer at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia and the National Disease Research Interchange. He is a graduate of Widener University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and received a Masters of Science in Finance from the American College. John also served on the Board of Directors of the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Chester, PA.

Nancy Glasberg has been a Human Resources professional for over 30 years.  For the past eleven years, Nancy was with Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company as its Vice President for Human Resources. There, Nancy provided general HR oversight, talent acquisition and strategic talent management planning for over 2,000 employees. Her areas of focus includes leadership development, coaching, change management, HR Operations and staff development. For the twelve years prior to her job at Penn Mutual, Nancy was the Managing Director of Human Resources for the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network - specifically for the Einstein Medical Center. Similarly, in that role, Nancy implemented employee training programs, developed leadership competencies and focused on building strong employee relations. Nancy is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and the University of Michigan Ross School of Business Advanced Human Resource Executive Program.
