Generations Endowment Fund
Secure Your Legacy
Establishing an endowed fund at JFCS allows you to create a legacy of support for neighbors in need. Through JFCS' endowment society Generations: The Fund for Tomorrow, you have the joy of knowing your named fund will enhance the lives and nurture the spirit of the community for generations to come.
Expand Your Influence
Once established, you can expand your philanthropic influence by asking your family and friends to contribute to your named fund in celebration of life events, such as special birthdays, marriages and births or with tribute gifts in someone's memory. You may also direct your gift so that it is available where most needed, or to a specific program, or to one of JFCS' six service areas:
- Children, Youth and Family Services
- Adult Services; Senior Services
- Education and Outreach Services
- Jewish Community Services
- Open Arms Adoption Network
Enjoy Many Benefits
By joining others whose names are inscribed in JFCS' Generations: The Fund for Tomorrow you can enjoy many benefits, such as: life income; tax advantages; convenience; and security, along with the opportunity to leave a legacy to JFCS.
Experience a Simple and Straightforward Process
People of both moderate and significant means can opt to create a named endowment fund at JFCS. With a minimum gift of $2,500, you can start your fund with cash, appreciated stock or shares in mutual funds. Appreciated assets may qualify for charitable deduction of the full value - thereby avoiding capital gains taxes. Once your fund is established, you can add to it throughout your lifetime. You can also add to your fund with one or more of our planned giving vehicles (see chart to the left). Whatever way you choose to establish your fund, you can be secure in the knowledge that your legacy of support for our neighbors in need lives on at JFCS through Generations: The Fund for Tomorrow.
