The Bridge Provides Thanksgiving Meals to People In Need
JFCS was pleased to provide financial support to 89 households to cover the cost of Thanksgiving dinner this year. The Bridge, a JFCS Giving Circle that serves as a critical needs funding group for Jewish clients suffering from acute financial crises, provided gift cards for the purchase of groceries for the holiday meal.
Joanna Johnson, Assistant Director of Individual and Family Services, explains, “Clients who have food insecurity struggle with the holidays. This program ensures that 159 of our clients will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving this year with a traditional dinner. The Bridge made this possible. Giving Circles like The Bridge enable donors to join forces for a common goal and strengthen and sustain the impact of their giving. “
