  • Enjoy JFCS' at-home art classes where we explore different techniques and styles. Register by month or drop-in for sessions when you are available.
  • Let us welcome this New Year with abundant sweetness and learn how to bake honey cake, apple cake, round pumpkin challah & fall spice-infused honey. The class will explore a variety of baking techniques as well as the rich symbolism behind different Rosh Hashanah foods.
  • Learn to knit with Therapeutic Crafters on Call’s Ellen Rubin. Open to total novices or anyone who wants to sharpen their knitting skills. Learn the basics of knitting as well as the healing powers of fiber arts. By the end of four sessions, make hats, scarves, and other items for yourself or the clients served by JFCS’ Knitting with a Mission.
  • At JFCS we see the healing power of soup first-hand in our Helping Heroes Program. For Helping Heroes, adults living with disabilities prepare meals each week for the Mitzvah Food Pantry and then share a meal themselves. Learn three of the helping heroes' favorites: "creamy" tomato, roasted butternut squash & vegetable matzo ball.
  • Join fellow knitters for conversation and community as you knit unique items for vulnerable individuals. Basic knowledge of knitting is required to participate.
