Circle of Hands Parenting Series: Join us as we launch our new series of parenting workshops designed around topics that matter to you. The first program Helping Our Children Manage Anxious Feelings will be led by Sarah Waxman, Family Life Educator and Robin Axelrod Sabag, Associate Director of Individual and Family Services.
Anxiety is an emotional experience no person can avoid over the course of their lifetime. At some point, something in your life will make you feel anxious. The question is, how do we effectively tolerate and deal with anxious emotions? This program will provide parents with some insight into understanding some of the basic roots of anxiety and how our children might experience these challenging emotions. The program will also provide some tools for helping parents understand how to help themselves, and their children, not to run away from these experiences but rather how to feel empowered and capable of managing the challenges these emotions present.
This event is open to the public – $18 per person.
