Join Philly’s Disability PRIDE Week 2019 & JFCS for a film screening of, Intelligent Lives a film by Dan Habib, followed by a moderated discussion with an expert on intelligence testing and Q&A. There will also be an art exhibit of pieces on the theme of inclusion and snacks made and sold by JFCS clients.
Intelligent Lives stars three pioneering young adults with intellectual disabilities-Micah, Naieer, and Naomie-who challenge perceptions of intelligence as they navigate high school, college, and the workforce. Award-winning actor and narrator, Chris Cooper, contextualizes the lives of these central characters through the emotional and personal story of his son Jesse, as the film unpacks the shameful and ongoing track record of intelligence testing in the United States.
There will also be a bake sale and art exhibit of JFCS’ People Living with Disabilities clients.

There is free parking in the Brodsky Center lot, as well as meter and 2-hour parking on surrounding streets. Please use the entrance on Montgomery Avenue. Please be aware that due to increased security all attendees will be asked to show ID.
