About JFCS of Greater Philadelphia
This has been a most challenging year. The pandemic has taken so many lives, civil unrest has forced us to reckon with systemic racism, and xenophobia has promoted senseless hatred and blame. In the midst of a pandemic, JFCS has pledged its commitment to those that we serve and to making our community a better place to live for all. We exist to help individuals and families to heal during crisis and challenge which extends to contributing to a healthier and accepting world.
JFCS serves the greater community through the Jewish values of B’zelem Elohim, valuing each life as sacred; Kehillah, the strength that comes from community; and Tikkun Olam, our responsibility to aid in repairing the world. We stand steadfastly with communities that experience racism, xenophobia, bullying, and bigotry. JFCS firmly condemns the targeting or harassment of any community. We unite together against hate and pledge solidarity with the Black, Asian Americans, and other community neighbors during these most challenging times.
I’m glad that you chose to take a look at the various services and programs that we are offering to the community in these very challenging times.
