Loving homes and forever families
For families and individuals who hope to build or complete their family through adoption, Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia can help. Our adoption programs help those hoping to adopt infants through open adoption or for those who have room in their heard to adopt an older child, with a child with special needs, or a sibling group.
Adoption is one of our organization’s most important service and JFCS is proud to have facilitated thousands of adoptions during our rich history. With a commitment to bringing families together, we place both infants and children into safe, loving and permanent homes.
Infant Open Adoption
Open Arms Adoption Network is the infant adoption program of Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia and is licensed to serve families in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York. We offer options counseling to women facing an unplanned pregnancy and a lifetime of comprehensive services for those hoping to build their family through adoption.
WAN (Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network) provides permanent placement for children who are currently in the foster care system. Often the children that we place are ages 10-16, sibling groups, and/or a child with medical/emotional needs. Our Child Welfare Department is under contract with the SWAN program to provide profiles for children and families, as well as services that prepare children for transition to permanent homes, and those that help families finalize adoptions. Our agency provides post permanency support services to include assessment of needs support, case advocacy, and respite care.
