Spiritual Support

The Joan Grossman Center For Chaplaincy and Healing

Every family encounters a critical passage at some point in their life together. It may be a death, a devastating illness or a painful estrangement. As we come to these junctures, families can be pulled in different directions, and new existential questions arise. Yet, these are the very times when connection to Jewish traditions, rituals, and community can provide a meaningful way to understand your experiences.

Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia can help you draw upon your inner strength, identify your spiritual resources, and strengthen your ability to find courage, hope and healing.

Our Services

We will partner on a fee and non-fee basis to help care for the human spirit by providing:

  • Individual and group counseling – our rabbis provide counseling and spiritual care in times of illness, loss and transition, and bereavement throughout the life cycles
  • Workshops – we direct and moderate group sessions on topics like mindfulness and spirituality
