For Jewish members of the LGBTQ community, Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia is the resource where meaningful connections begin. At JFCS you’ll find a safe and affirming network in which to celebrate your Jewish identity and be welcomed into a supportive environment.

We embrace a diverse spectrum of the LGBTQ community and invite you to become part of that community at our events, through JFCS volunteer opportunities and through our programs.
Virtual Support Groups
LGBTQ+ Peer Support Group
This group builds ona a foundation that all participatns are experts in their own identities. No one member of the LGBTQ+ community has all of the answers – we need to work together to create a healthy and healing space. These meetings begin by focusing on the experience of the LGBTQ+ community during the COVID-19 crisis, but will have a flexible approach to subject and needs. This group meets via Zoom. LGBTQ+ and Allied Jewish Teens
Tzelem is a social and educational group for Jewish LGBTQ+ and allied teens. We’ll connect through our queer identities, and discuss topics like life transitions, health relationships, body positivity, self-compassion, mental health, Jewish identity, and more! Dear Ally[two_third] Dear Ally is an anonymous online question and answer forum for Jewish lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) youth, parents and family members of LGBTQ individuals, and professionals who have questions pertaining to their work with the LGBTQ community.
We can learn from others’ questions. Submit your letter anonymously and it will be publicly posted with our response so that other readers are supported.
J.Proud Jewish Philly LGBTQ Consortium
J.Proud is committed to working together as a collective agent of change to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for the diverse needs of the Jewish LGBTQ community while building relationships with allies in the Greater Philadelphia area.
J.Proud’s Consortium of members, including Jewish organizations, synagogues, schools and other institutions, are committed to creating, nurturing, and supporting a comprehensive net of LGBTQ-inclusive programs and resources for the Jewish LGBTQ community in the Greater Philadelphia area. J.Proud hosts events throughout the year for the LGBTQ community, their families and friends in an effort to create spaces that foster building community and pride in being Jewish and LGBTQ.
Inclusion Training & Coaching Services
Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia works each day to help strengthen the lives of those in our community. We do this through outreach to individuals as well as to organizations.
