JFCS’ 34th Annual Benefit

Man Plans, G-d Laughs”
Yiddish Proverb

Thank you for your interest in JFCS’ 34th Annual Benefit, Laugh on Behalf of JFCS with Trevor Noah. We regret to share that Trevor Noah has unexpectedly and at the “eleventh hour”canceled his performance with us. Accordingly, we are now forced to cancel the event. In the spirit of “the show must go on,” we tried to find a comedian of similar prominence, but we could not book anyone else within such limited time constraints.

It is extremely disappointing for us to cancel an event that represents a 34-year tradition for our agency, and more importantly, serves as our premier annual fundraising effort to raise much-needed dollars to assist over 25,000 vulnerable members of the community.

We appreciate you considering supporting JFCS and want to emphasize that we will not allow this setback to deter us from our mission and commitment to those we serve. Too many people depend on us to be there during challenging times. Indeed, we will continue to support them in all the capacities we do now.

As the Yiddish proverb, Man Plans, G-d Laughs, so aptly conveys, this turn of events was sadly, out of our control. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Very truly yours,
