Director of Education and Outreach
Adrienne Gavern-Tomlinson, Director of Education and Outreach, has been with JFCS for over 20 years. Responsible for program and curriculum development, marketing, budgeting, and evaluation, she manages a staff of more than 20 and frequently educates other professionals. As chairperson for the PA Prevention Director’s Association and regional coordinator of the Commonwealth Prevention Alliance, Adrienne is a sought-after collaborator for prevention-related programs throughout the region. She received the 2012 PA Council on Compulsive Gambling Tony Mililo Person of the Year Award, and the 2012 Commonwealth of PA Maggie Marcopul Award for Service to the Prevention Field. Under her leadership, the JFCS Education and Outreach Department received the Mayor’s “Making a Difference” Award for Drug and Alcohol Prevention and the School District of Philadelphia’s Community Partnership Award. Adrienne holds a both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan.
